How to Upgrade the ASUS X50RL Laptop Battery for the Asus laptop

The Asus EEE 900 Windows laptop computer comes with a factory installed asus laptop battery. Over time the battery begins to hold smaller charges, requiring you to connect the laptop to an electrical outlet more often. However, you can upgrade the battery for better performance.

1. Power down the computer and flip the system over so the bottom of the computer is facing the ceiling.

2. Push down on the battery release slots. These pull down, which unlock the battery. Remove the current battery from the housing compartment.

3. Slide the new laptop battery into place. You are either able to insert a new replacement battery that is the same model or obtain a new lithium battery from the ASUS products website, which offers longer battery life.
